An announcement in Darkfall

An announcement was made on the 11 July 2006. The content of the announcement is that preparation for starting beta is underway, although Aventurine declared it publisher for Darkfall did not appear at this time. For the reason, they were possible to self-publish the game. Six months passed, on 17 January 2007, the day when Aventurine announced they were in active discussions with prospective partners, distributors, publishers, and technology providers and there are a fully functional and stable beta build on remote servers which are running.
On the 30 January 2007 second official gameplay video was put into market by Aventurine. The video is composed of about one minute of in-game footage demonstrating real-time melee combat, mounts, spellcasting and naval combat. In May Aventurine made an update on great progress towards beta and made an announcement on their internal target date for beta – the summer of 2007. Another update was made later on 2 August 2007—stating that beta would not start until negotiations with possible publishers were completed.
