The role of alignment in darkfall online

Alignment in darkfall is a system used to limit the same-faction killing sprees. At the very beginning of darkfall online game, you have enough alignment to kill one of your own faction members. If you kill one more you will get punishment-going red. Once you are red, anybody can hit you without the penalty of losing their own alignment. when you are in this bad situation, anyone will have a try to kill you, for killing a evil one can make them gain a alignment( by the way, one’s name in red is considered as evil.).
Once you are red, guard towers in your racial capital, starter towns and a few near some newbi quest givers will attack you if you are red.
